Course Details
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to supervise the removal process for friable and non-friable asbestos containing material (ACM).
The unit includes planning for and supervising the removal process, including preparing the work area and the worksite, using safe and compliant removal practices, maintaining safety procedures, and supervising the decontamination and removal processes.
Ensuring compliance with the asbestos removal control plan (ARCP) is central to the effective performance of the role. This includes ensuring and documenting that required air monitoring and other testing and certification processes are conducted by licensed asbestos assessors according to legislation.
DLI TRAINING is an approved RTO by SafeWork NSW to deliver Asbestos Removal Training in NSW. Approval (#RTO800483).

This course addresses the requirements of the national unit of competency CPCCDE4008: Supervise Asbestos Removal.
- Planning for asbestos removal.
- Preparing for asbestos removal.
- Supervising testing, compliance and documentation in consultation with licensed asbestos assessor and the asbestos removalist.
- Overseeing the removal and decontamination process.
This course addresses the requirements of the national unit of competency CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal.
- Planning for asbestos removal.
- Preparing for asbestos removal.

- CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos OR
- CPCCDE3015 – Remove friable asbestos
- Minimum 14 years of age.
- 100 points of ID must be provided on the day of training (Original)
- A statement of attainment for CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the
construction industry or Safework general construction induction training card (White Card) - Have USI or create one from https://www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
