Course Details
This unit is required for all Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) removal workers engaged in the removal of non-friable ACM in quantities more than 10m2.
Project sites for removal of non-friable asbestos include construction sites, ships and soils.
The model work health and safety (WHS) regulations and the Code of Practice: How to safely remove asbestos (2018) requires workers to hold certification for the class of licensed asbestos removal work they will be undertaking. Completion of this unit of competency is certification to undertake non-friable (Class B) removal work.
Occupational licenses are required nationally. This unit is required for all ACM removal workers engaged in the removal of more than ten square metres of non-friable ACM.
Completing this training does not result in getting the relevant asbestos licence. Workers need to meet Safework NSW requirement to apply for the licence.

This course addresses the requirements of the national unit of competency CPCCDE3014 Remove Non-Friable Asbestos.
- Preparing for non-friable Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) removal
- Safely containing and removing non-friable ACM
- Decontamination and disposal requirements
CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (white card).
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- 100 points of ID must be provided on the day of training (Original)
- A statement of attainment for CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the
construction industry or Safework general construction induction training card (White Card) - Have USI or create one from https://www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
