EXCAVATOR OPERATOR TRAINING COURSE TICKET

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.

By completing this course participants will gain the skills and knowledge to:

• Plan and prepare for excavator operations
• Operate excavator in line with established requirements
• Lift, carry and place materials to complete work activity
• Select, remove, fit and use attachments for a excavator
• Prepare to relocate the excavator
• Conduct housekeeping activities

• Minimum 17 years of age
• ID to show proof of age
• Have a USI or create one from: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/Digital-ID 
• Level 2 LLN minimum (refer to Language Literacy Numeracy Chart)

• Students must wear steel cap boots.
• Students must bring hard hat.

• Face to face: 2 Days
• Workplace training available upon request (minimum 10 participants)

• DLI Training: 5 Melissa Street Auburn NSW
• Client site: workplace training available on request (minimum 10 participants)

Students will be assessed using the following assessment methods which includes but is not limited to the following:

• Knowledge evidence requires student to answer a range of theory questions.
• Performance evidence to demonstrate completion of excavator operations that safely, effectively and efficiently follows workplace procedures to carry out work activity.

Verification of competency (VOC) is used to verify worker’s current competence and assists the employer to determine the skill level of the operator for the model and make of machinery and task.

The VOC is commonly used by employers during pre-employment checks, site requirements and contract negotiations. DLI Training undertakes VOC assessment either in conjunction with training or as a VOC only request to provide to employers.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with:

• Statement of attainment for RIIMPO320F Conduct civil construction excavator operations
• Students may also request an optional wallet sized card reflecting their achievement for an additional fee of $10.
