Course Description
CPC30420 Certificate III in Demolition is designed to meet the needs of specialist demolition workers who dismantle and demolish public, residential, commercial and industrial structures of all types, and process the resulting materials for salvage, recycling and waste disposal.
Licensing Requirements
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements for demolition work differ between states and territories. Please consult with the relevant regulatory authority.
Construction Work Requirements
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Participant Requirements
DLI Training requires the following:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Level 3 LLN minimum (refer to Language Literacy Numeracy Chart)

- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Duration and RPL Assessment Structure
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the process by which you can achieve a nationally recognised qualification, without the need to attend classes. You are assessed by providing us with evidence of the knowledge, skills and experience you already have. Our industry expert assessors review your submission and provide feedback if we require more information or clarification.
CPC30420 Certificate III in Demolition is assessed for RPL as follows:
- Approximately three (3) months duration based on evidence submitted to demonstrate competency
- Start any time as the RPL process is fully online
- Where gap training and assessment is identified, DLI Training will schedule a trainer/assessor to undertake gap training and assessment which may extend the duration of the RPL process
- No additional fee for gap training and assessment as it is undertaken as part of the RPL process and is completed through the online portal.
Exit Point/Award
Students that successfully gain RPL for all 20 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with CPC30420 Certificate III in Demolition by DLI Training by DLI Training. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Students that gain RPL for some but not all units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment by DLI Training. It will identify only those units of competency that have been granted RPL as part of the qualification.
