Are you ready to step into the building and construction career?

With DLI Training CPC40110 Cert IV in Building and construction, you will learn first hand how to manage medium size construction projects. This qualification will cover apply building codes, cost estimation, contracting, plans interpretation, worksite WHS, and much more. DLI trainers experienced in the construction industry.

THIS QUALIFICATION IS A MAJOR STEP TO COMPLETE YOUR BUILDER LICENCE PATHWAY.

What are the entry requirements?

No pre-requisites for this course. However, if you are doing an online course its preferable that you have 1-3 years current building and construction experience and should be familiar with current construction procedures and terminology.

Would DLI Training provide active worksite?

Our face to face delivery model provides you with experience with tendering, contract requirements and preparation for a job pack to manage and supervise building work.

When does the course starts?

Depends on the  mode of delivery you choose:

  • Face to face: we have a class opening every 2 weeks, classes are Saturdays only.
  • Online: Start anytime, all classes online. Trainer’s meetings could be arranged if required.
  • RPL: Start anytime, fully online. Competency conversation will be arranged after evidence submission.

What's the duration of the course?

Usually, it’s less than 12 months, and depends on the mode of delivery you choose:

  • Face to face Classes: 30 weeks (Saturdays) attendance.
  • Online: 6-12 months.
  • RPL: if you have all your evidence ready, it shouldn’t take more than 3 months to get your certificate.

What's the class duration every week?

Classes are every Saturday, 9:30am – 4:30pm.

Students completing the Self-Paced Course will not be required to attend classes on a regular basis. Our Trainer/Assessor will be in regular contact with you to guide you throughout the Course and monitor your progression.

What's the Course fees and is there any payment plan?

The course fee is $4,500 for class-based

  • $1,500 upon enrolment acceptance
  • Then $750 monthly

Certificate IV in Building and Construction

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses.

The builder may also be the appropriately licensed person with responsibility under the relevant building licensing authority in the State or Territory. Builder licensing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this qualification may be required.

Occupational titles may include:

    • Builder
    • Construction manager.
  • 8 – 12 months (Face to Face)
  • 3 – 12 months (Online)
  • CPC50210 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
  • Licensed Builder. Check the relevant state and territory licensing and regulatory authorities. State and territory jurisdictions may have different regulatory requirement.

  • To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in:

    • 16 units of competency:
      • 13 core units
      • 3 elective units.

Some units in this qualification may have prerequisite requirements, which must be met when packaging the qualification. Users are referred to the list of CPC08 units with prerequisite unit requirements available in this Training Package for this purpose.
