CPR COURSE

By completing this CPR course participants will gain the skills and knowledge to:

• Respond to an emergency situation
• Perform CPR procedures
• Communicate details of the incident
• Review the incident

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Fitness and agility to undertake the course.
• Level 2 LLN minimum (refer to Language Literacy Numeracy Chart).
• Have a USI or create one from: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/Digital-ID

• Online theory pre-study (approximately 2 hours).
  • Must be completed PRIOR to undertaking practical application and assessment.
• Face to face practical application and assessment. (approximately 4 hours)

• DLI Training: 5 Melissa Street Auburn NSW.
• Client site: workplace training available on request (minimum 10 participants).

Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Students will be assessed using relevant assessment methods which includes but is not limited to the following:

• Knowledge evidence requires student to answer a range of theory questions.
• Performance evidence to demonstrate practical ability to managed, in line with ARC guidelines, the unconscious, breathing casualty including appropriate positioning to reduce the risk of airway compromise, the unconscious, non-breathing adult, the unconscious, non-breathing infant.

Upon successful completion of the CPR course, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is valid for 12 months and then a refresher course must be completed.
